How "near me" actually works here

Your postcode is the whole story. Every provider on SomeoneToday chooses the postcode districts they cover — RM17, SS14, E10 and so on — and when you post a request, only the providers covering your district are alerted, nearest availability first. That's why we ask for a postcode rather than showing you a list of companies: "near me" should mean people who genuinely come to your street today, not whoever paid for the top advert.

Where we cover

SomeoneToday is live across Essex and Greater London — from Grays, Basildon, Southend and Chelmsford through Romford, Ilford and East London to Central, North, South and West London, Croydon, Bromley, Kingston and out to Harrow and Enfield. If your area isn't live yet, you can still post a request and join the waitlist; we'll let you know the moment providers cover your district.

Questions

Quick answers

How do you know who's near me?

Providers register the exact postcode districts they cover. Your postcode decides who is alerted — only people who actually work your district, availability first.

Is anyone actually open now?

Providers flip themselves available or off in real time, so alerts only go to people who can take work now or soon. If nobody is free, we say so — no dead-end phone calls.

Do you cover my postcode?

We're live across Essex and Greater London postcodes including RM, SS, CM, IG, E, EC, WC, N, NW, W, SW, SE, DA, BR, CR, KT, SM, TW, UB, HA and EN districts. Type yours into the checker to see.

Is it free to check?

Completely. Checking availability and posting a request cost nothing — a small booking fee applies only when you accept someone's quote.
